Artists Paintpots at Yellowstone National Park will be temporarily closed for boardwalk repairs/NPS file

Editor's note: Quick work has allowed the area to be reopened to the public.

Quick work involving repairs and improvements to access from the parking lot to the boardwalk allowed the reopening Friday of the Artists Paintpots area of Yellowstone National Park.

While the original expectation was that the site would be closed to the public for up to two weeks, on Friday morning the park announced the work had been completed.

The work involved repairs to the accessible boardwalk ramp, ensuring visitor safety and access from the parking lot to the trail network.
