Battling non-native vegetation is one of the tasks for crews at Lewis and Clark National Historical Park. NPS image.

Much has changed since Lewis and Clark took a hike across the western United States. Among those changes has been an infusion of non-native vegetation that threatens to overrun native vegetation. At Lewis and Clark National Historical Park, researchers are working to wipe out the intruders.

This video, produced by the North Coast and Cascades Science Learning Network, takes a look at this field work.
