Yellowstone National Park concessions employee found dead

Yellowstone National Park employee Kassandra "Kassie" Wieferich was found dead near the Old Faithful Lodge area on August 26. From Twin Bridges, Montana, Wieferich, 21, was reported missing after failing to meet a family member the previous afternoon. This incident remains under investigation by National Park Service park rangers and special agents.

This is the second death of a park concessions worker this summer. On August 17th the body of 22-year-old Darien Latty was recovered after a tubing accident on the Yellowstone River.
