Yellowstone National Park officials on Thursday identified the victim of a grizzly bear attack as a 57-year-old Torrence, California, man, and adjusted some of the details of the attack.

For a quarter-century the North Cascades Institute has been working in partnership with the National Park Service to educate the public on the wonders of North Cascades National Park. Those 25 years haven't been overlooked by the Park Service, which recently honored the institute for its work.

Following in the footsteps, and brushstrokes, of Frederick Church, Albert Bierstadt, and Thomas Moran, a New York-based painter plans to spend the next few months exploring the National Park System and "painting the national parks."
