Condors have led Grand Canyon National Park rangers to a body about 300 feet below the South Rim.

A bipartisan coalition of five U.S. senators has introduced legislation that would enable the government to fully fund the Centennial Initiative proposed by the Bush administration in honor of the National Park Service's upcoming centennial in 2016.

The other shoe has dropped in the Government Accountability Office's investigation into the management plan for Yellowstone National Park bison. In a biting report the GAO says the plan has been a failure on numerous fronts and the involved agencies need to come up with a better solution.

With all the news of late about the National Park Service lacking money to buy important lands, it's nice to know that every now and then someone donates some land to the service. The latest involves 35 acres being added to Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park.
