Grand Canyon National Park, in collaboration with Grand Canyon Conservancy, is excited to kick off the 11th season of the Cultural Demonstration Program next week.

A terse email that went out to 1,000 National Park Service employees and other Interior Department staff who were fired this week was abrupt and claimed they were being fired for cause.

One-thousand National Park Service staff were being fired Friday as part of the Trump administration's move to reduce the size of federal government, though the agency was told it could begin hiring 5,000 seasonal workers, according to the National Parks Conservation Association.
