With Memorial Day Weekend officially kicking off the summer travel season, and road construction ramping up in Rocky Mountain National Park, you just might have to ride a shuttle when you visit some areas of the park this summer.

Apparently top Interior Department officials didn't get the memo: The Chattahoochee River, which Interior Secretary Ken Salazar says is a "model of the America's Great Outdoors River Initiative," is also considered one of the nation's most endangered rivers by American Rivers.

A visitor to Grand Canyon National Park fell approximately 600 feet to his death from the South Rim on Tuesday, according to park officials.
