Rumbling and light shaking in Hawai'i is pretty common, what with the volcanic plumbing that created the islands. Just the other day the U.S. Geological Survey's Hawaiian Volcano Observatory reported an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.3 that lightly shuddered the islands.
