Interior Secretary Salazar Endorses World Heritage Committee Visit to Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park

Interior Secretary Ken Salazar, who last week called for Everglades National Park to again be listed as a World Heritage Site In Danger, is endorsing the committee's decision to examine mining threats to Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park.

Vessel Speed Restrictions Extended At Glacier Bay National Park to Protect Whales

More humpback whales and their calves are showing up in the waters of Glacier Bay National Park, and that has prompted park officials to extend speed restrictions on vessels cruising through those waters.

Chaco Culture National Historical Park Campground Closed for Emergency Repairs

If you're making a visit to Chaco Culture National Historical Park this summer and your plans include camping, be sure to do some homework in advance. The campground in the park is currently closed for emergency repairs—and don't count on your trusty GPS unit to find a backup site!

Rescued Park Visitors Return to Yosemite National Park to Thank Good Samaritan

In today's busy world, we don't often hear about recipients of a good deed taking time to formally thank a Good Samaritan. Two California residents made it a point to return to Yosemite National Park recently to thank a ranger they credit with saving their lives.
