Yellowstone National Park’s winter season wraps up early March as roads begin to close to snowmobile and snowcoach travel. By March 16, most visitor services and park roads will be closed including the South, West and East entrances. The park annually closes most roads at this time of year to prepare them for a spring opening for the public.

A petition with nearly 800 signatures from across the country has been sent to Interior Secretary Deb Haaland asking that she direct the National Park Service to staff a remote outpost in North Cascades National Park Complex in Washington state.

Work is underway to update the more than four-decades-old management plan for the stretches of the Colorado and Green rivers that flow through Canyonlands National Park in Utah.

Ongoing repairs stemming from damage caused by a 2021 wildfire and the hard 2023 winter to Sequoia National Park's Crystal Cave will keep the attraction closed this year, according to the Sequoia Parks Conservancy.
