While Virgin Islands National Park might seem idyllic from above water, beneath the surface of the Caribbean Sea the once vibrant coral reefs rimming the park have been impacted by a bleaching caused by abnormally high ocean temperatures and by a disease that combined could have devastating consequences.

Update | Railroad Sued Over Grizzly Bear Deaths On The Doorstep Of Glacier National Park

A railroad that rides tracks near the core of grizzly recovery zones in Montana along the southern boundary of Glacier National Park and in Idaho was sued Thursday over the deaths of grizzly bears that often are drawn to the tracks by carrion or spilled grains.
