Much like an iceberg, the hole in the pavement in Yellowstone National Park was only a small indication of a much larger problem beneath the roadway. As a result, a section of the park's Grand Loop Road has been closed to motorists...just hours after it opened for the summer season.

What you put on your feet when you're out and about in the national parks goes a long way towards ensuring your comfort. Of your feet, at least. With that in mind, we've put a few pairs of boots through the rigors of walking on trails and pavement and have the following thoughts.
