South Carolina ETV’s new documentary “Roots in the River: The Story of Congaree National Park” will be aired in association with Ken Burns’ six-part documentary on America's national parks. A sneak preview of clips from both documentaries will be screened for the general public at the Congaree National Park visitor center on Sunday, September 20.

"Yosemite Facelift" Offers a Good Way to Lend a Helping Hand at Yosemite National Park

Volunteer cleanup days will be held in a number of parks this year, but one of the most ambitious is scheduled for five days next week at Yosemite National Park. "Yosemite Facelift" will be held September 23-27, and anyone who participates is eligible for some "thank you" perks in addition to the satisfaction of a job well done.

Headed Into the Fiery Furnace? Get a Reservation In Advance Online

Most of us go out of our way to avoid a "fiery furnace" situation, but many visitors to Arches National Park are the exception. Ranger-guided hikes into the park's version of the Fiery Furnace often fill in advance, so the park is experimenting with online reservations through the end of October.

Bridge Repairs on Blue Ridge Parkway Completed Just in Time for Fall Color Drives

Fall is a wonderful season to visit the Blue Ridge Parkway, and the park has good news for travelers on the North Carolina portion of the scenic drive. Work on the Goshen Creek Bridge has been completed and the section of the Parkway between mileposts 285 and 288 has reopened to traffic

Updated: Federal Judge in Wyoming Says He Can't Boost Snowmobile Numbers in Yellowstone National Park

A federal judge in Wyoming who in the past has supported higher numbers of snowmobiles in Yellowstone National Park ruled Thursday that he could not overturn the National Park Service's decision to cap daily snowmobile numbers at 318 this coming winter.
