Photography In The National Parks: Wildlife In The Landscape

Sometimes, you see amazing wildlife during your national park adventure, but you just don’t have the right lens on your camera, or maybe your telephoto lens (or setting) doesn’t far enough reach for a sharp, close-up shot. Go ahead and capture that wildlife image anyway! You’ll have a beautiful landscape shot of the environment in which that wildlife dwells.

Gazing At Stars From Pecos National Historical Park

Having explored parts of Pecos National Historical Park in New Mexico in daylight, I can only imagine how fascinating it must be under moonlight and starlight. And were it not 650 miles away, I would make plans to experience Pecos Pueblo under the light of a full moon, or during a star gazer's event with telescopes and binoculars.

UNESCO Calls For Action On Threats To Wood Buffalo National Park

Canada has until Feb. 1 to file an action plan to UNESCO about what it will do about serious, ongoing threats to Wood Buffalo National Park. The new deadline came when UNESCO World Heritage Committee approved a report that found that the place of Canada's largest national park on the World Heritage Site list is in danger.
