Approval has been received to build a not-quite 2-mile long multi-use pathway at Cape Hatteras National Seashore that will lead to the Cape Hatteras Light as well as the beach from North Carolina 12, the main highway that runs down the Outer Banks.

CODY—For nearly five decades the grizzly population emanating from Yellowstone National Park has pulsed farther and farther outward, reclaiming old haunts where humans wiped out their forebears in the early 20th century.

Road construction will begin in late May at Chickasaw National Recreation Area in Oklahoma. Multiple areas will be worked on throughout the summer, starting with the Cedar Blue entrance area.

Rock climbing routes on the east and northeast faces of Devils Tower at Devils Tower National Monument in Wyoming will be temporarily closed, effective immediately, to protect nesting Peregrine and Prairie Falcons. The closure is implemented annually to provide the falcons with an undisturbed nesting location during this critical courtship and nest-selection period.
