Radford West's is interesting, mainly because he's had an interesting life, with a keen passion for the outdoors. In 1971 West came home from the confusion of Vietnam and sought solace in the high, lonesome. "The mountains gave me a new respect for nature and myself," he says, and his book reflects that.
