Turtles and birds are some of the higher profile visitors to the stretch of Texas along the Gulf Coast that's home to Padre Island National Seashore.

The recently issued prospectus for operation of the majority of Yosemite National Park’s concession facilities includes several significant changes related to the park’s lodging. Lodging, a major revenue generator for the winning bidder (and the National Park Service), is expected to generate from $52-$57 million in 2016, the year the new lease kicks in.

After a very, very wet start to summer, things are starting to dry out at Voyageurs National Park in Minnesota, enough so that crews are reopening campsites and trails that had been closed.

In his most recent donation to the National Park Foundation, businessman David M. Rubenstein has written a check for $12.35 million to help with the restoration of the Arlington House, the Robert E. Lee Memorial, that is located on the grounds of Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D.C.
