After a very, very wet start to summer, things are starting to dry out at Voyageurs National Park in Minnesota, enough so that crews are reopening campsites and trails that had been closed.

In his most recent donation to the National Park Foundation, businessman David M. Rubenstein has written a check for $12.35 million to help with the restoration of the Arlington House, the Robert E. Lee Memorial, that is located on the grounds of Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D.C.

A day-long program on science and history at the Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park is coming up later this month at Waterton Lakes National Park in Alberata, Canada.

Great photo spots in the national parks often tend to lead to wide, crowded spots in the road if there's not an overlook already established or the one that exists is too small. At Denali National Park in Alaska, officials are working to "uncrowd" one such spot and make it safer for you to pull over, enjoy the view, and snap a few photos.
