Evening At The Cape Programs Announced For Cape Lookout National Seashore

This year's Evening at the Cape programs at Cape Lookout National Seashore in North Carolina will feature a ferry ride at dusk and a chance to take in the view from the Cape Lookout Lighthouse around sunset. The first set of programs will take place on Thursday, June 13, Friday, June 14, and Saturday, June 15.

I've long been a paddler, but primarily of canoes and occasionally rafts. While I have a few times gotten into a sea kayak and paddled away from shore, I never fully embraced the sport. Until now. National Park Service Working To Reopen Parks Closed By Hurricane Florence

Two units of the National Park System that were battered by Hurricane Florence remained closed Wednesday, while a third had partially reopened, according to the National Park Service. Working to get them fully open was an incident management team manned by 28 Park Service employees from 14 parks.
