Dingmans Falls At Delaware Water Gap NRA Reopens On Halloween

The Dingmans Falls boardwalk trail at Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area in Pennsylvania was set to reopen at 1 p.m. Wednesday. The popular visitor destination and local favorite was hit hard by damages from back-to-back winter storms in March 2018, and as a result was closed for the spring and summer while work crews made repairs.

Peregrine Falcon Chicks Banded At Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area

For the first time in seven decades, peregrine falcons have successfully nested this year in the Milford Cliffs area of the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. Historic nesting pairs were first reported on these cliffs in the 1940s and 1950s. No nests have been identified at this site until now.

Back-To-Back Storms Took Heavy Toll On Delaware Water Gap NRA

It could take "years" to clean up Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area in the wake of back-to-back storms that downed thousands of trees, closed trails, and possibly damaged historic structures in the park that straddles the New Jersey-Pennsylvania border, according to Deputy Superintendent Keith Farrar.
