150th Anniversary of Lincoln's Inaugural Journey Commemorated in Sixteen Cities This Month

This month marks the 150th Anniversary of the trip by then President-elect Abraham Lincoln from Springfield, Illinois to Washington, D.C. The National Park Service will commemorate the journey by sponsoring programs from February 11 to February 23 in sixteen cities and towns where Lincoln made stops and remarks during his trip.

Land Swap Clears Way for American Revolution Museum Within Independence National Historical Park

Slightly more than a year after it was announced, National Park Service officials finalized a deal Friday to have the Museum of the American Revolution rise within the grounds of Independence National Historical Park, not within Valley Forge National Historical Park.

Land Swap Moves American Revolution Center Out of Valley Forge National Historical Park

In a surprising move that resolves a long-simmering feud, the proponents of the American Revolution Center have worked out a deal with the National Park Service to build the complex in Philadelphia at Independence National Historical Park and not in the middle of Valley Forge National Historical Park.

Second Round of National Park Service "Centennial Projects" Produces $27 Million Worth of Improvements
