Washington’s National Park Fund to Celebrate 25th Anniversary With Musical And Visual Extravaganza At Benaroya Hall

In an event sure to delight outdoors enthusiasts, Benaroya Hall in Seattle will come alive October 24 at 7:30 p.m. with beautiful musical compositions by Northwest Symphony Orchestra coupled with lovely imagery from the National Park System. The spectacular performance, “National Parks at Benaroya,” celebrates the 25th anniversary of Washington’s National Park Fund, the official philanthropic partner for Mount Rainier, North Cascades, and Olympic national parks.

Seven Lakes Basin Backpacking Permits For July 9-20 Available Beginning Day Before Trip

The administrative closure of the Seven Lakes Basin/High Divide area in Olympic National Park for July 9 through July 20 is no longer in effect. Seven Lakes Basin is a quota area and permits will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis for backpacking trips during this timeframe. Permits will be available in person beginning the day before the trip. Advance reservation requests will not be accepted for these dates.

Rehab Work To Begin On Hurricane Hill Trail At Olympic National Park

A long-running, much-needed, rehabilitation project for the Hurricane Hill Trail at Olympic National Park is set to start Monday. The project includes installing masonry retaining walls, drainage improvements, paving to 8-foot width, bench installation, revegetation, and improving the first four-tenths of a mile of the trail to federal accessibility standards.
