Fallen Timbers Battlefield and Fort Miamis National Historic Site

There are three sites: Fallen Timbers Battlefield, Fallen Timbers Monument, and Fort Miamis. These sites commemorate a moment in time which saw dispossession of American Indian tribes and a loss of colonial territory for the British military and settlers. Fallen Timbers Battlefield and Fort Miamis National Historic Site are managed by Metroparks Toledo. It is also an Affiliated Unit of the National Park Service.

North Country National Scenic Trail
Much like the Appalachian or the Ice Age national scenic trails, the North Country National Scenic Trail covers multiple states (North Dakota, Minnesota, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Vermont) with historic sites along the way telling how America settled and grew as a nation, and hiking trails leading the visitor over North Country landscape and geology.
