With temperatures expected to surpass 110° Fahrenheit this weekend, the National Park Service at Whiskeytown National Recreation Area has placed a temporary ban on campfires and barbecuing with briquettes.
National Park Law Enforcement is seeking help in solving the vandalism and theft which occurred when an individual or individuals stole over 190 bushels of unripe fruit from the apple and pear trees at the Tower House Historic District of Whiskeytown National Recreation Area, damaging the trees and irrigation system in the process.
