Study Says Yellowstone National Park Backpackers Mostly Happy With Their Experience
A study into the experiences of backpackers in Yellowstone National Park came away with the conclusion that almost all had a great experience. Most said they didn't think the park's backcountry was crowded, and they had no problem with the fees they had to pay.

Photography In The National Parks: Your Armchair Photography Guide To The North Cascades Complex
The North Cascades Complex, comprised of Lake Chelan National Recreation Area, Ross Lake National Recreation Area, and North Cascades National Park, is a vast landscape of cold, clear rivers, thick forests, and rugged mountains webbed with a network of trails having few access roads and mainly for backcountry backpackers. Photographer Rebecca Latson recently visited this area and returns with an Armchair Photography Guide to prove you can still get awesome photos of the North Cascades Complex without having to hike into the backcountry to do so.
Details On Glacier Point Road Rehab At Yosemite National Park
Glacier Point Road at Yosemite National Park is getting to the point where it needs some serious rehabilitation, and park staff currently are looking at having that work done in 2021, which means the road will be closed during the visitor season that year. To explain the process, Yosemite staff have scheduled a public meeting for August 28.

Exploring The Parks: A North Cascades “Base Camp” Stay
What comes to mind when you hear the words “base camp?” Tents beneath Mount Everest, perhaps? How about something a little closer to home, bordering the incredible turquoise-hued water of Diablo Lake in Ross Lake National Recreation Area, beneath the mountains of the North Cascades? Yosemite National Park Restores Historic Place Names After Years-Long Lawsuit
A years-long trademark dispute that caused Yosemite National Park to rename the historic place names of some of its most popular lodging and dining locations has ended, freeing the National Park Service to restore iconic names such as The Ahwahnee and Curry Village to sites in the park.
