If all your trip to Kings Canyon National Park entails is a stop at Grant Grove, you've missed a fabulous landscape. This shot, taken near road's end in Cedar Grove, is a teaser of what lies beyond for those who shoulder a pack and take to the backcountry.
Ahhh - King's Canyon is great, but this picture is just Kitsch.
Yikes, that guy is a bit grumpy. It is a beautiful shot. I can't wait to see this park. One of the best things about this site is the ability to share pictures, thoughts, ideas, etc. regarding our one common bond, a love for our National Parks. As an amateur photographer but seasoned hiker, I'm glad to have found a site like this on which people's experiences run the gamut. It is wonderful to get a multitude of views of so many beautiful places. --Dorothy
The more I browse here the more I get the insatiable bug to see it for myself. I thought the shot was excellent.
I have been shooting landscapes for quite some time now, and I have to say that this dramatic photo of Kings Canyon caught my eye. I would've liked to have shot this one myself!
From what we get, we can make a living; what we give, however, makes a life -Arthur Ashe
I lived there for a while and I can remember some mornings where the lavender mist filled the canyon and as the sun came up the colors were the most amazing I'd ever seen. This photo makes me want to go back even more than I already did.
