Son of Godzilla lives!! Nah, that's a marine iguana photographed by the Traveler's editor-in-chief Kurt Repanshek during his visit to Galapagos National Park. Marine iguanas are found only on the Galapagos Islands and are the world's only oceangoing lizard. During mating season, these seaworthy iguanas change colors from black to bright green and red, red and black, or dull green and brick red (according to galapagosconservation.org.uk). Here's something else pretty cool: "Due to the high concentration of salt in their diet, marine iguanas filter their blood at the nose and sneeze out the excess salt, often forming salt crystals on the snout".
