As Tropical Storm Debby chugs north along the Eastern Seaboard, units of the National Park System, facing a foot or more of rainfall and associated flooding, shut down their operations and prepared for the aftermath.
In an effort to help preserve the life of Civil War-era flags, two of the flags at Fort Sumter Fort Moultrie National Historical Park in South Carolina will be removed from the park museum and stored in the dark for a period time to rest.
