Interior Department officials fumbled an incredible opportunity when they prevented the superintendent of Glacier National Park and a top U.S.G.S. scientist from touring Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg around the park.

It goes without saying that everyone has one or more favorite seasons during which they like to visit their favorite national park. Having visited a number of national parks, herself, photographer Rebecca Latson lists her favorites during each season of the year and encourages you to take your cameras out to these parks during those same seasons.

This summer, Glacier National Park and Flathead National Forest are expanding visitor use monitoring efforts to better understand use along the Middle Fork and North Fork of the Flathead Wild and Scenic River.
