The Going-to-the-Sun-Road in Glacier National Park is closed for the season from Avalanche on the west side to the Jackson Glacier overlook on the east side. A severe winter snowstorm followed by temperatures below freezing created unsafe traveling conditions along the alpine section of the Going-to-the-Sun Road, park officials said Wednesday.
