National Park Mystery Spot 8: Higher! Higher!

Our mystery spot is a place to stare.
This awful poem will take you there.

Huff and puff. Higher! Higher!
Hang on, guy, where’s the fire?
Doing 360 might let you count seven.
You just never know when you’re that close to heaven.

Be sure to check back with Traveler tomorrow for the answer and an explanation of the clues.

A second reader has just provided a correct answer (which has not yet been revealed). One more correct answer and I'm going to end the suspense.

Clingmans Dome, Great Smoky Moutains

I agree with Rangertoo: Clingman's Dome in GSMNP.

Eric, mahod, and Rangertoo, the first three to identify the Mystery Spot as Clingmans Dome in Great Smoky Mountains National Park, have been awarded Win, Place, and Show, respectively. Eric came up with the correct answer so quickly that I wondered if this Mystery Spot quiz might be way too easy. Subsequent events put that suspicion to rest, together with any illusions I might have had about being the only bad poet in the Traveler community. Remember to check in tomorrow for the Mystery Spot Revealed explanation and discussion.

Could it be that you are climbing to the top of Mt Rainier where you can then see the seven volcanoes of the Cascade Range?

Jo, the Mystery Spot is Clingmans Dome in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Be sure to check back tomorrow for the explanation of the quiz.
