Odds are, you take National Parks Traveler for granted. You enjoy reading musings from around the National Park System, you like to stay informed on how the National Park Service is managing the parks, and you are are curious about what you can do in the 417 units of the park system. And you've never considered donating to help keep the Traveler on line.
Depending on the month, as many as 50,000 people read the Traveler each week. And yet, since Traveler became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit media organization in May, fewer than 200 have made a tax-deductible donation to help us stay on line and bring you stories such as Lee Dalton's wonderful musings from the parks, or updates on the battle over national monuments, or how the National Park Service is being forced to seek voluntary retirements due to a budget crunch.
Please, don't take the Traveler for granted.
Your tax-deductible gift will help offset the costs of bringing you stories from the parks every day of the year. Traveler is not a government program, is not connected with the National Park Service, and is not produced by a 400-pound guy in New Jersey sitting in his basement with a laptop. We don't like pop-up ads, or video commercials that start when you land on the page, and we don't think you do, either.
So please, click on the links below and donate today.

Kurt, as the headline suggested the article is totally bogus. For example it cites Clinton's tax increase indicating steady growth thereafter. What it fails to mention is that in fact growth wained after the increases and Clinton reversed himself and cut taxes and it was then that we saw growth. Again the Bush tax cuts were overwhelmed by the mortgage melt down, Reagan had explosive growth. "During that tax-cut-fueled economic expansion in the 1960s, real GDP growth averaged 5%, with growth as high as 8.5% in two quarters."

Ecbuck ------ HUH???????
Um, I'm kind of confused, too.
What are you confused about. Its pretty clear. Tax revenues rise and growth tends to accelerate after tax rate cuts.
Ah, Ec complaining about liberals in a piece about NPT asking for support for it's non-profit mission. Makes as much sense as he usually does.
George, you are right. I posted on the wrong thread. Now I see the confusion. Was responding to a comment directed at me by Kurt. Should have gone under "National Park Service Will Offer Buyouts...." thread. My apologies.
