Structural Issue With Road Bridge At Old Faithful Causing Delays

Published Date

July 22, 2020

Unspecified structural issues with the highway overpass at Old Faithful in Yellowstone National Park were causing traffic delays Wednesday.

A park release didn't specific the problems with the overpass, saying only that "a new four-way intersection has been put into place south of the overpass. All traffic is being routed there. Expect delays."

Engineers were inspecting the overpass.

Travelers can still access Old Faithful and the Upper Geyser Basin, lodges, stores, the clinic, and gas station, the release said, adding that, "If you are not traveling directly to Old Faithful, consider alternate routes due to delays throughout the area."
