Winter Storm Elliott took a bite out of Cape Cod National Seashore, eroding a section of the bluff above Coast Guard beach and taking out the trail to the shoreline.
National Park Service staff say a 5-to-6-foot width of the bluff was taken out by the storm.
“The concern is for anybody is walking on that section of the beach. If they get into an area where the tides are high [and] coming up to the bluffs, they could potentially be stuck in that location,” Michael Valora, the seashore's chief ranger, told radio station WCAI.
