Traveler does an excellent job.  But times and condtions are changing.  We have managed to fight off many challenges, but the greatest dangers to our parks (and our entire nation) are political.  Especially right now as the country is more divided than perhaps any in our history.  I've seen the NPS go from an organization that was FUN to work for, to one that is now so fraught with regulations that try to please everyone with any agenda and draconian budget cuts that it apparently is no longer a happy, rewarding organization.

Americans should be outraged.  But Americans have ceded control of our country to wealthy, self-serving political hacks who answer not to the people, but to MONEY.

I'm glad I'm so old that I won't be around much longer, but I am sure afraid for what my grandkids will have to live with.

You do great work, wonderful service.

Your work is meaningful and important.

Parks are wonderful, Employees are great, Mamagement is horrible as are the organizatons that manage lodging.  I feel bad for young families due to the cost.  Lodging is some parks is outrageous.  Too man viositors that hav eno respect for the parks and others.  Visiting is nothing like it was in the 80's and 90's.
