Ocmulgee Mounds National Historical Park Grows By 250 Acres

A donation of land has pushed the total acreage of Ocmulgee Mounds National Historical Park in Georgia to near 2,000 acres. The contribution from Macon-Bibb County comes roughly seven months after a land purchase added 906 acres to the park.

Blue Ridge Parkway Closure Near Roanoke Virginia Extended

National Park Service officials today announced the project completion date for a Roanoke slope repair project underway at milepost 127.9 on the Blue Ridge Parkway has been extended into spring 2023. The unanticipated extension is due to the discovery of a failed culvert in the fill slope that requires full replacement.
