Still Working on Some Glitches In The Traveler's Architecture

We're aware that there continue to be some glitches with the Traveler as a result of last week's upgrade with our underlying architecture. And we're working hard to wipe them all out. But we could use your help to alert us to problems we don't see.

We're aware of the double abstracts that are going out with the RSS feed. We're also aware that when you try to browse by date or content there is no way to advance beyond the initial page. Some readers have reported that they're receiving frequent emails from the Traveler. The only emails we send out are notifications of new posts, or notifications of comments to posts. You can opt in or out of receiving these notifications through your user profile. If you are getting frequent emails, please let us know how frequently and what the subject matter is.

Also, at least one reader has said they have not been able to comment on stories. We have not changed anything in regards to comments, so if you're having this problem rest assured that we're not trying to block you from commenting. But do let us know if you've encountered this problem so we can try to track down the cause. We've also had reports that not all comments are visible, and we're trying to isolate that one.

And, of course, we are working to restore the comment bar to the way it was.

Kurt - your articles no longer appear right below "The Latest News & Views" area. Instead, I have to scroll all the way down to see the newest articles. As of a day or 2 ago, I am now receiving your RSS feeds.

BTW, I'm using IE8.
