Traveler's Long-Maligned Search Engine Getting Better

Filter your searches by park, keyword, and even date.

Here at the Traveler we're always looking for ways to improve the site's appearance and its use. The latest improvement is to our long-maligned search engine.

Now when you search for a term you are presented, in the right-hand column, with a number of filters you can apply to that search. For instance, you can search by park, by keyword, and by date. Those filters show up once you start your initial search. Be sure to try it out the next time you're delving into our archives.

Down the road we also plan to overhaul the underlying software architecture that will make viewing the Traveler on smartphones and tablets a much more satisfying experience. More on that to come.

CH 51659), MAY BE OBTAINED FROM THE DIVISION OF CONSUMER SERVICES BY CALLING 800-435-7352 OR VISITING THEIR WEBSITE. REGISTRATION DOES NOT IMPLY ENDORSEMENT, APPROVAL, OR RECOMMENDATION BY THE STATE.
  • Georgia: A full and fair description of the programs and financial statement summary of National Parks Traveler is available upon request at the office and phone number indicated above.
  • Maryland: Documents and information submitted under the Maryland Solicitations Act are also available, for the cost of postage and copies, from the Secretary of State, State House, Annapolis, MD 21401 (410-974-5534).
  • North Carolina: Financial information about this organization and a copy of its license are available from the State Solicitation Licensing Branch at 888-830-4989 or 919-807-2214. The license is not an endorsement by the State.
  • Pennsylvania: The official registration and financial information of National Parks Traveler may be obtained from the Pennsylvania Department of State by calling 800-732-0999. Registration does not imply endorsement.
