Wyoming's governor believes 540 snowmobiles a day could travel through Yellowstone National Park in winter without adversely impacting wildlife, air quality, or the park's soundscape.

It will cost more to climb Mount McKinley and Mount Foraker in Denali National Park and Preserve, as park officials are moving to offset the cost of protecting and rescuing climbers.

There's certainly lots to see in Yosemite National Park, what with the soaring granite walls, wispy waterfalls, and the spectacular high country. And there's lots to hear, too, when you consider all the interpretation programs and park tours. Deaf visitors don't need to miss those programs, as the park's Deaf Services Program is ready to offer sign language interpretation.
