One Dead, Two Missing In Colorado River at Grand Canyon National Park

Grand Canyon National Park rangers recovered a young man's body Friday and were continuing efforts to find two other men missing since Thursday morning after the three jumped into the Colorado River near Phantom Ranch.

The "Other Grand Canyon"—the North Rim—Opens for the Season on May 15th

Visitors to the Grand Canyon will soon have another—and less crowded—option for visiting the park. Highway 67 to the North Rim of Grand Canyon National Park is scheduled to open for the season on Friday, May 15.

Terrain Map Shows that Kurt’s Wednesday Campsite on the Yampa Was Way Cool

After spending Tuesday ashore, presumably hiking, Kurt Repanshek headed down the Yampa River again Wednesday and ensconced himself at a new campsite for the night. SPOT has marked the spot in scenic Dinosaur National Monument, and the Terrain topographic map reveals that it's a dramatic place.
