Trump Militarizes Federal Lands Along Southern Border

President Trump has expanded the military's role on federal lands, including national parks, along the country's southern border, saying the border "is under attack from a variety of threats. The complexity of the current situation requires that our military take a more direct role in securing our southern border than in the recent past."

Southwest Texas is the location of some pretty amazing parks, and I had the opportunity to visit two of them: Carlsbad Caverns National Park in New Mexico and Guadalupe Mountains National Park in Texas. So, this month’s quiz and trivia edition is all about these two parks.

Floating America's First National River

Uh-oh, this doesn’t look good. A kayaker is careening down the narrow winding river, letting the current pull her towards danger instead of paddling like mad away from it. “Stay hard right,” shouts Hailey Albers. “Stay away from that root wad.” Whooping and hollering, the woman rather gleefully crashes right into a partially submerged tangle of tree roots.
