The continuing aftermath of the Dixie Fire that roared through Lassen Volcanic National Park in 2021 is keeping the Drakesbad Guest Lodge and Warner Valley Campground in the park closed this summer.

Blackwell School National Historic Site in Texas was officially added to the National Park System on Wednesday.

It's the wildlife that draws most visitors to Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve, and those enjoying the park this week are probably getting opportunties to view humpback whales that summer in the 65-mile-long bay.
