Nearly 400 Mountain Goats Removed From Olympic National Park, Olympic National Forest

A program to relocate non-native mountain goats from Olympic National Park and Olympic National Forest has ended with nearly 400 goats were removed, though only 325 made it to the northern Cascade Mountains in Washington. The others either died in the capture and transport effort, were euthanized, were lethally culled, or placed in zoos.

Rising Coronavirus Cases Aren't Keeping All Tourists From National Parks

Concerns about catching Covid-19 during cross-country travel don't seem to have left national parks to the locals. While overall visitation to many parks is lower than usual for this time of year, statistics provided to the U.S. Travel Association show many people are traveling hundreds of miles across state lines to visit the parks.
