Boil Water Advisory Issued For Kalaloch Area Of Olympic National Park

Due to a drop in pressure in the potable water distribution system, Olympic National Park in Washington state on Thursday issued a boil water advisory for the Kalaloch Lodge, Kalaloch Campground, and all park facilities in the Kalaloch area. Water samples have been collected and the boil water advisory is expected to be lifted within 24 to 48 hours.

Olympic Fire Crews Continue Searching For Potential Wildfires After Recent Lightning Strikes

Interagency fire crews continued suppressing fire starts and investigating smoke reports across Olympic National Park and Olympic National Forest today. Crews are working to suppress two active fires on the Olympic National Forest caused by the lightning strikes. So far, no structures are threatened and there are no new evacuations or closures.
