Repairs Planned For Cleetwood Trail And Marina At Crater Lake

It's no secret that planning to visit a national park should begin at least six months before your visit, and a year in advance might not be too outlandish. With that timeline in mind, know that boat tours at Crater Lake National Park in Oregon might not run in 2024 or 2025 if needed work to the Cleetwood Trail and marina are approved by the National Park Service.

Petersburg National Battlefield Planning Preservation For Historic Smokehouses

Petersburg National Battlefield in Virginia is preparing for the preservation of the two smokehouses and dairy at the General Grant’s Headquarters Unit in Hopewell. The preservation of these buildings, which are part of historic Appomattox Plantation and listed as a part of the City Point National Register District, includes the removal of the three buildings from their foundations to perform wood framing and sheathing repairs, carpentry repairs, and interior and exterior painting.
