Death Valley National Park’s Emigrant Canyon Road, damaged by the remnants of Hurricane Hilary back in August 2023, will close January 6 for repairs and not reopen until March.

Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area, which straddles Kentucky and Tennessee, recently repaired 16 miles of the Cumberland Valley Loop Horseback Riding Trail, located in the heart of the park's trail system.
